As of April 20, Collin County health officials reported 17 net new cases of COVID-19. Three of these new cases are in McKinney.

This brings the total number of active cases in Collin County to 200 and the total number of confirmed cases to 544. There have been 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in McKinney.

The county also confirmed April 18 that an 82-year-old McKinney woman with underlying health conditions and COVID-19 died in her home.

"All of us at Collin County are saddened at word of a COVID-19 death within our community," Collin County Judge Chris Hill said in a news release. "To her family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."

This is the 13th death reported to county health officials of a patient with COVID-19. Seven of those deaths have been McKinney residents.
