The May 4 general election is quickly approaching. On the ballot, McKinney voters will see candidates for McKinney City Council, McKinney ISD's board of trustees and Collin College board of trustees.

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce is hosting two forums in April, where candidates will answer questions about their experience and give their opinions on various topics and local issues. These forums are free and open to the public. Registration can be found on the chamber's website.

A City Council candidate forum will be held at the McKinney Chamber office, located at 400 W. Virginia St., on April 4 from 7:30-9 a.m. On April 9, an education candidate forum for MISD and Collin College candidates will take place at the chamber offices from 7:30-9 a.m.

Collin College will also host a candidate forum April 17 for the six candidates campaigning for board of trustee seats.
