McKinney City Council to hold work sessions and regular council meetings same day beginning Jan. 15

McKinney City Council is moving work sessions to be held on the same days as regular council meetings starting Jan. 15.

Previously work sessions were held the first and third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m., the day before regular City Council meetings on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Going forward work sessions will take place at 3 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday along with City Council meetings, which will remain at 6 p.m.

During a late 2018 City Council meeting, council said having the meetings on the same day will allow city staffers, who are required to attend both meetings, the availability of Monday evenings.

All city meetings may be watched live on Spectrum Cable at channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse at channel 99, and all videos are streamed and archived on the city’s website.
