McKinney’s first Whole Foods Market is slated to open by the first day of fall, according to a social media post from West Grove.

The store will open in a 45,000-square-foot space at the West Grove development near the corner of Custer Road and West University Drive. De La Vega Development, the company behind West Grove, announced the anchor store in March 2022.

Whole Foods was founded in Austin and has since opened more than 500 grocery stores across the U.S. The grocery chain sells a variety of natural and organic products that includes produce, beverages, dairy products and meat. Whole Foods also sells vegan products, keto-friendly products and gluten-free products, according to its website.
