5. Chipotle Mexican Grill

The restaurant will serve Chipotle dishes including customizable burritos, burrito bowls, salads and tacos. Chipotle is expected to open in a 2,325-square-foot space, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.6. Plunj


The Nordic-style bathhouse offers sauna and cold plunge pools which accommodate up to four people along with a rest area. The business is focused on contrast therapy, which is a regimen involving alternating time spent in a sauna and cold pool, the website states.

7. Sephora

The business offers a variety of beauty products including makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance products. The retailer curates more than 300 brands including its own label called Sephora Collection, according to its website.8. Simply South

The menu will feature Indian vegetarian dishes including a variety of idly dishes. Idly is a south Indian rice and lentil cake. Other options include paneer tikka kebabs and butter naan.9. Smalls Sliders

The company’s first McKinney location, owned by franchisee Serendipity Provisions LLC, opened in late April and the same owners are set to open another location. The quick-service restaurant offers hamburger sliders made with one or two beef patties, cheese, pickles, and Smauce, the restaurant’s signature sauce, according to its website. Other menu items include waffle-cut fries, queso, milkshakes and slider combo meals.10. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill


The business, which was previously forecasted to open in May, is now slated to open this summer in McKinney, a company representative said. The menu features appetizers including humus and dolmades, salads, gyros and entrees such as grilled steak souvlaki and a falafel plate.What’s next

11. Take 5 Oil Change

Construction on the store is slated for completion in October, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. 12. The Quay and Tantra


The restaurants traded spaces in McKinney’s Adriatica Village. Tantra originally opened in 2024. The modern Indian bistro’s menu has a variety of vegetarian dishes including paneer kabobs, fried rice and more. The Quay, which originally opened Feb. 27, offers American cuisine with influences from Thai, Mediterranean and Asian gastronomy.Closings
