A McKinney-area Kroger store has a “fresh new look” following the completion of a renovation project, a Kroger news release stated.

The store, located at Lake Forest Drive and University Drive, saw renovations including upgrades to decor as well as new service layouts and selections in various departments including the bakery, service deli, produce, floral, and meat and seafood sections. The store also saw a “grocery aisle reset,” the release stated, as well as new local product additions.

The remodeling project began in mid-July and was completed in early October, a company representative said, noting that the store remained open during the project. A grand re-opening celebration was held to mark the completion of the project on Nov. 6.

The Kroger location is one of three in the McKinney area, and originally opened in January 2019, according to previous reporting from Community Impact. The company recently saw the opening of a new store in Melissa, which is the company’s first new store built in North Texas since 2019, a company news release states.
