Maverick Power relocated its headquarters to McKinney earlier this year, company officials confirmed.

The gist

The company, which launched in Plano in 2020, manufactures power distribution equipment and solutions for various industries with a focus on data centers, according to a news release from the company. Maverick Power also offers project management and field services such as preventative maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, its website states.

The company was named the fastest-growing mid-market company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as part of the 2024 Dallas Business Journal Fast 50 Awards, reporting a 5,789% growth rate from 2020-23, the release states.

“This is a field that's growing, and we're super excited to be part of the development of the field,” Director of Marketing Michelle Currier said.

Diving in deeper

The company relocated to a 168,000-square-foot space in McKinney that houses manufacturing and administrative operations for the company, expanding the company’s total capacity to about 350,000-square-feet, Currier said. Maverick Power also has operations in Plano, Garland and Phoenix, Arizona.

“We spoke to folks that are in McKinney and I've raised my family in McKinney,” Currier said. “We said, ‘This is where we want our headquarters to be.’ We love McKinney.”

Over 100 employees were hired to support the new location, Currier said. The company also plans to offer internship and apprenticeship opportunities for students as young as seventh grade interested in manufacturing-focused career fields, Currier said.
