Mo’ Bettahs is expected to open its first McKinney location in December, according to a representative of the company. The restaurant will be located at 6201 S. Custer Road, Ste. 800, McKinney, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. 3. BMW of McKinney
A BMW of McKinney car dealership is under construction in north McKinney. The dealership will be located at 2601 N. Central Expressway near Wilmeth Drive. The dealership is being developed by North Carolina-based Hendrick Automotive Group, the largest privately held automotive retail organization in the U.S., according to its website. McKinney City Council members approved a specific-use permit for the project at a Jan. 17 meeting.
4. 7 Brew Coffee
A 7 Brew Coffee location will open in McKinney sometime in late 2023, according to a 7 Brew Coffee representative. The coffee shop will be located at 1510 W. University Drive, which was formerly home to Bill Smith’s Cafe. 7 Brew Coffee offers drinks such as lattes, energy drinks, teas, shakes, smoothies and more, according to its website. www.7brew.com
5. Goody Goody Liquor
A new Goody Goody Liquor store is planned for south McKinney. The business will be located at 3801 S. Lake Forest Drive near McKinney Ranch Parkway. The store offers a variety of beers, wines, liquors, drink mixers and more. Salad and Go plans to open a third McKinney location in the first half of 2024, according to a representative of the company. The restaurant will be located at the southwest corner of US 75 and Virginia Parkway, according to city planning documents. 7. Dollar General
Dollar General is expected to open a new location in McKinney at 6161 W. University Drive, according to a company spokesperson. An opening date for the store was not provided. Dollar General sells name brands and private brands of food, housewares, basic apparel and more. www.dollargeneral.com

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is opening a location in McKinney in late 2023 or early 2024, a company representative said. The coffee shop will be located at at 1301 S. Central Expressway, McKinney.
