The development, to be located at 1301 N. Custer Road, will offer customizable luxury garage spaces to store cars, motorhomes, collections such as art or wine, and more, according to the release.
The climate-controlled spaces begin at 1,375 square feet with a 450-square-foot mezzanine, and can be customized to include attached carports, drive-through units, double-sized units and tailgating garages. The development will also be gated and include additional security measures, as well as a clubhouse and car wash area.
The McKinney location is expected to break ground in late 2023. The location was selected due to high growth in the area and proximity to Frisco and Prosper, among other cities, according to the release. Another Dallas-Fort Worth-area location is planned to open in Las Colinas in late 2024.
“When we were first marketing the Las Colinas location, we had many inquiries for a facility near US 380,” said Scott Bumpas, commercial division director at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, in an email. “That location, at [US] 380 and Custer Road, allows for direct access from McKinney, Prosper and Frisco—areas that are at the center of the strongest growth in North Texas. So, we are very excited that such a perfect site is being developed for the second luxury garage.”
