Dollar General is opening a new location in McKinney.

A company spokesperson said the store, to be located at 6161 W. University Drive, is in the “due diligence” phase but expects renovations to begin soon. An opening date for the store was not provided.

Dollar General sells name brands and private brands of food, housewares, basic apparel and more.
