The automotive dealership, currently located at 1100 S. Central Expressway, is set to relocate to a $21 million, state-of-the-art facility that is expected to break ground in spring 2023, Tomes said. The new facility, located at 3600 S. Central Expressway, will be on about 10 acres of land with a roughly 60,000 square-foot building, almost four times larger than the dealership’s current location.
The new dealership will include over 25 service bays, 30 sales offices, and will need additional parking service and sales staff, Tomes said. The larger building will also allow for “increased service capacity” for customers of the dealership, Tomes said. The relocation project was delayed due to the pandemic, but is meant to support the growth and demand in the area for the Subaru dealership, Tomes said.
“Subaru has been on fire as a brand the last 12 years and Mckinney and Frisco, Prosper, Celina [are] all having incredible growth,” Tomes said.
