Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux to open in McKinney with Dak Prescott as co-owner

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is now a co-owner of Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux & Bar, which is opening a location next year at 3702 W. University Drive in McKinney.

Goody Goody Liquor will soon be Keller's second liquor store

Goody Goody Liquor is coming to 730 S. Main St. in Bear Creek Plaza, Keller. It will be the city’s second liquor store. Goody Goody Liquor is a family-owned liquor store chain founded in Dallas in 1964.

Texas Best Smokehouse, Texaco C Store and Wash Masters, a car wash, opened in mid-April at the Grapevine Station North. Located at 1001 E. Northwest Highway in Grapevine, Texas Best Smokehouse is a 13,000-square-foot travel center known for its beef jerky and other products.

Hot Body Yoga under new ownership in Frisco

Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney and his sister, Christie Cheney Bone, transitioned into ownership roles for Hot Body Yoga in March. The brother and sister said their goal is to build a yoga community where everyone can feel comfortable entering the studio, regardless of their abilities.

BP Performance fitness center opens in Frisco

BP Performance opened April 12 at 15222 King Road, Frisco. The business is owned by two National Football League players, manager Kiayla Lucas said.

Drive-thru eatery Salad and Go now open in Plano

Salad and Go opened its first Plano location May 5 at 1400 Coit Road. The drive-thru concept eatery offers made-to-order salads, wraps, soups and drinks.

Plans OK’d for tax-credit, workforce housing in McKinney

About 10 acres of land at this site was already zoned for multifamily uses, however, at the June 15 McKinney City Council meeting, the applicant requested that about two more acres on the east side of the site be brought in as part of the development, for a total of about 12 acres.

The applicant proposed for the 38 acres to be divided into two tracts: one portion of the land—about 2 acres facing Custer—will be dedicated to commercial uses, and the other 36 acres will allow for the cottage residential development.
