The restaurant, which the owner expects to open in mid-March, will seat 150-160 people and include a large bar, outdoor patio and a private dining room. The restaurant will serve barbecue, burgers, comfort foods, smoked chicken, salads and other items.
In addition to the restaurant, the 15,000-square-foot building will include an event space seating 120-140 people, a large market and a wine room.
The retail space and market, which is expected to open in September or October, will also include a casual seating area for guests to order coffee and drinks, said Matt Hamilton, CEO and president of Local Yocal. The event space will open in August, Hamilton said.
Plans for Local Yocal’s current location at 213 N. Tennessee St., McKinney, have not been announced.
Local Yocal opened in downtown McKinney in December 2010. The store sells locally raised, organic and grass-fed meats as well as local organic dairy and pantry products.
