Methodist Craig Ranch Surgery Center has served 14 patients as of Nov. 16 and plans to keep growing. With 10 registered nurses and three scrub techs on staff, the center plans to hire more people in the spring and is actively recruiting physicians.
Blanca Rivera, director of nursing at the surgery center, said she is excited to see Methodist grow and to be able to serve more patients.
In 2018, the center will offer outpatient surgery for joint replacements, said Stephanie Carlile, administrator at the surgery center.
The center, opened by Methodist McKinney Hospital on Nov. 6, is located in the former Victory Medical Center Craig Ranch facility.
