Scare on the Square will now take place indoors due to the weather forecast which is calling for a very raining Halloween, McKinney Main Street Program CoordinatorAaron Werner said in an email.

"Mother Nature must not like sweet treats but we won’t let that stop us," Werner said. "Scare on the Square will continue rain or shine in Historic Downtown McKinney."

The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 inside the McKinney Performing Arts Center, located at 111 N. Tennessee St., McKinney. The costume contest and live entertainment will be held in the MPAC theater, and more than 20 vendors will hand out treats to trick-or-treaters downstairs from 4-7 p.m.
