THE WATCHDOG The Watchdog[/caption] McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller and will lead dedication a ceremony at 10 a.m., July 16  for a new sculpture by McKinney artist Jake Dobscha. The Sculpture, entitled “The Watchdog,” honors the men and women in uniform within the city of McKinney. It is carved from Texas Limestone. It was commissioned by Council Member Don Day to put by the new building constructed at 230 E. Hunt Street.  Day said the police, fire, and service men and women in our community should be thanked and honored for all they do for the city of McKinney. The sculpture took the artist two months to complete. The McKinney Fire Department, Police Department and Armed Services committee members have been invited to attend and Mindy Bell will sing the national anthem. Following the dedication, which takes place at 230 E. Hunt Street in downtown McKinney, attendees are invited to an open house which will be held in the new office building adjacent to “The Watchdog” at 203 E. Hunt Street.
