Cesar Molina was elected Oct. 28 the chair of the Denton County Transportation Authority board of directors for a term that ends at the September meeting in 2022. Molina represents Denton County Seat 1 on the board.
Lewisville Mayor TJ Gilmore was elected vice chair, and Sam Burke was elected the board’s secretary. Burke is a City Council member in Corinth and represents Denton County Seat 2.
Alison Maguire attended her first meeting after being elected by fellow Denton City Council members to serve in the voting position as a director.
Director Dianne Costa, former mayor of Highland Village, asked the board to consider bylaw changes that would “allow continuity” in board leadership with a progression from secretary to vice chair to chair.
