The application period opened Jan. 16 for candidates wishing to file for a place on the May 4 ballot, according to election information. A number of City Council and school board trustee seats are up for election this year in Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village as well as Lewisville ISD.
The deadline to file for a place on the May 4 ballot is Feb. 15.
