AT&T and Verizon have permits approved for the installation of several small cell sites in Flower Mound that will improve cell phone reception.

AT&T will install 10 new small cells in the Lakeside DFW area. The installation is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2019.

Verizon customers may have already noticed improved reception in Lakeside DFW in the past several months due to Lakeside DFW business account owners purchasing network extenders.

Verizon is also in the planning process for a cell tower on Spinks Road, which should also help improve coverage in the area, if approved.

Sprint customers may also be receiving improved cell phone reception.

Sprint has plans to construct two small cells and a collocation on the new Verizon tower off of Skillern Road that was approved earlier this year. They are also hoping to collocate on the planned Verizon tower off of Spinks Road, if approved.
