The shop is currently located at 1566 N. Stemmons Freeway in Lewisville. The relocation on 6.256 acres will allow the owners to “better accommodate their growing business,” according to a city staff memo. The Lewisville City Council voted 5-0 on Sept. 20 to approve a special use permit for the facility as well as a variance for parking.
Plans include a 12,000-square-foot building to be used for an office and showroom. A 10,400-square-foot building will be for service bays, according to the memo.
The approved variance for outdoor display areas will allow one parking space per 2,000 square feet. Current ordinances require one space per 1,000 square feet.
