The Flower Mound Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted to recommend approval of a zoning ordinance that affects Lakeside Village parks during its Sept. 26 meeting.
The ordinance allows for the use of monument signs in certain open spaces that will be hosting events. Lakeside Village is looking to add a monument sign promoting the Lakeside Music Series in the open space between Epic Gelato and Mio Nonno Trattoria.
The ordinance also reduced the Community Lawn open space from 0.4 to 0.3 acres and added a new open space in Tower Park to offset the reduction in Community Lawn.
The ordinance will now need final approval from the Town Council.
