Lewisville City Council approved funds for the city’s asphalt rehab projects.

The contract for the project was awarded to Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Co. for $527,829, according to the June 6 agenda item.

The annual construct for asphalt rehab projects includes the pulverization, stabilization and asphalt overlay of existing streets, according to the agenda. It is used by public services to complete the maintenance of asphalt pavement.

This contract is used on larger projects such as repairs to entire streets and/or parking lots, according to the agenda.

This year’s planned streets include West Purnell Street from Edmonds Lane to I-35, Degan Avenue and Harn Drive from College Street to Milligan Drive, and Timber Creek Drive and League Road.
