State publishes spring STAAR results for Lewisville ISD

Lewisville ISD’s state assessment scores are now available online.

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, test elementary and junior high students for reading and mathematics proficiency. Certain grades are also tested in writing, social studies and science.

High school students are tested in algebra, biology, English and history.

Here is a look at how LISD students performed on spring tests, according to Texas Student Assessments.

  1. Not one person I have ever talked to about this test believes it should exist. Principles, teachers and parents want it abolished asap! Most states test students as a whole on how they are doing, NOT individuals and to make or break them
    They should not be studying for this test
    Not everyone is good at test etc
    .. just funding for schools and politics.
