Lewisville held a "topping out" ceremony July 3 to commemorate the final beam being placed on the Thrive multigenerational center.

The 87,000-square-foot facility located at 1950 S. Valley Parkway was part of the November 2015 bond package. It will feature an indoor natatorium, a gymnasium, an indoor walking track, an expanded fitness area, community rooms and an indoor playground for children, according to the city's website.

"Thrive is expected to open [in] spring 2020," Recreation Manager Hilary Boen said at the ceremony.
