Denton County public health officials reported 36 additional cases of the coronavirus June 15.

So far, 948 residents have recovered from the virus, 788 cases remain active and 36 residents have died after testing positive for COVID-19, according to officials.

The county has had a total of 1,772 cases as of June 15—248 additional cases since June 8.

Since June 8, there have been 10 more confirmed cases in Flower Mound, bringing the total to 66. Highland Village saw three new cases over the past week, with a total of 18 cases. There were 44 additional cases reported in Lewisville since June 9. The city's total is now 355.

The death of a man in his 50s was reported June 9 as the county's 35th death. Another resident, a man in his 60s, was reported as the county's 36th death June 10.


Denton County intensive care unit beds were 32.4% occupied as of June 15, with 98 beds available; 437 hospital beds are occupied across the county, and there are 414 beds available.
