Lewisville City Council held a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2022-23 budget during its Sept. 12 meeting.

The $124 million proposed operating budget includes maintaining the property tax rate at $0.443301 per $100 valuation and increasing utility rates by 4.3%. The split is $0.320981 for operations and maintenance and $0.122320 for interest and sinking, according to the agenda item. The proposed changes were made by the council at the Aug. 6 budget workshop.

The council also approved the operating budget during the meeting.

A public hearing and vote on the tax rate will be held at the council’s Sept. 19 meeting.
