Five Flower Mound parks are scheduled to be resurfaced in the coming month, according to a Dec. 29 town news release.

The upgrades to the parks include replacing the current playground surfacing with an artificial play surface at Lone Tree Park, Culwell Park, Shadow Ridge Park, Prairie Creek Park and Colony Park, according to the release.

WeBuildFun crews began laying new surfacing at Lone Tree Park on Dec. 27, according to the release. Once that work is completed, they will begin work on the next playground, which has yet to be determined.

Each playground is expected to be closed for seven to 10 days while the work is done, according to the release. All upgrades to the five playgrounds are expected to be completed by the end of January.

Signs will go up notifying residents of the closure, and updates will be posted on the town’s social media pages and website, according to the release.
