Individuals driving in Coppell should plan for lane closures to accommodate construction of rail crossings.

Both projects for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line will start in February, according to a construction update. The Silver Line is a nearly $2.1 billion commuter rail project that is expected to begin service between late 2025 and mid-2026.

What you need to know

The first closure is planned over three days along Moore Road, near the intersection with East Belt Line Road. A three-day closure of all lanes will begin at 8 a.m. Feb. 23 and last until 5 p.m. Feb. 26, per the construction update.

The other project involves closures along Royal Lane, which will allow work crews to reconstruct an at-grade rail crossing for the Silver Line. Closures of left lanes for northbound and southbound traffic are scheduled to begin Feb. 27 and last until April 9, according to the update.

For the Royal Lane closure, drivers should follow signage indicating the modified traffic flow around erected barricades.
