The maintenance project began March 27. The project’s scope includes replacing broken or damaged panels along the portion of Sandy Lake Road between MacArthur Boulevard and Denton Tap Road. The project will require portions of various lanes to be closed periodically, according to the city.
Work is currently taking place on the westbound side of Sandy Lake Road. Construction crews will begin panel replacement on the eastbound side once the westbound side is completed. Moore Road is also scheduled for panel replacement this summer.
The project’s cost is $2.29 million. Coppell is funding $1.04 million of the project, while Dallas County is responsible for $523,250 of the total cost.
Panel replacement along Sandy Lake Road is expected to conclude by the end of May.
