The second phase of Lewisville’s Timber Creek Aerial Utility Crossings project is anticipated to begin on Jan. 3.

Lewisville City Council approved a bid award in the amount of $4,820,538.71 for the project on Dec. 19. The project’s scope consists of replacing eight existing sanitary sewer crossings over Timber Creek, according to the agenda item. The second phase is expected to finish in late September, per the 270-day contract. A few of the crossings included in the second phase are:
  • Timber Creek near the southwest corner of Bellaire Boulevard and Old Orchard Lane
  • Timber Creek between Old Orchard Lane and Valley Parkway near the western end of Whispering Circle
  • Timber Creek near Dallas Lane, west of Edmonds Lane in Central Park
  • Timber Creek near the 500 block of Continental Drive
The first phase, which consisted of the most critical utility crossing, was completed in 2020. Funding for the bid award is available in the city’s Timber Creek Aerial Utility Crossings capital project accounts.
