The clinic serves the uninsured and underinsured populations, clinic board member Jarvis Boyd, said in an emailed statement, with primary care services including care for respiratory infections, hypertension management and diabetes care. Boyd added that the clinic’s staff is made up entirely of volunteers.
Trucare is currently open on the second Saturday of each month, but there are plans to operate five to six times weekly in the future, Boyd said.
The clinic plans to hold a grand opening Jan. 11, 2025.
