Serve Lewisville held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new facility July 20 at 1001 S. Edmonds Lane.

Serve Lewisville is the city’s first one-stop building for nonprofit services. Its mission is to bring multiple nonprofit organizations together under one roof, making it easier for the community to access social services.

The organization has been in close partnership with and is modeled after its counterpart, Serve Denton.

“I've met many people at Serve Denton who came in hopeless and left with hope,” said Pat Smith, Serve Denton CEO and Serve Lewisville board chair. “That's my hope for Serve Lewisville.”

Serve Lewisville will be rolled out in two phases. Organizations that have physical offices include Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County, My Health My Resources of Tarrant County and Denton County My Health My Resources. Visitors can also stock up on food at the Mission Market Food Pantry.

More organizations are expected to move in after additional space is acquired.

“When you're building community, you have to meet people where they are,” Lewisville Mayor TJ Gilmore said. “[Serve Lewisville] is going to be a glorious solution for many, many years to come.”
