Individuals needing to access warming shelters can do so in Lewisville at two locations:
- Lewisville Public Library, located at 1197 W. Main St., which operates between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- Salvation Army Lewisville, located at 880 Fox Ave., which operates from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Coppell Chief Communications Strategist Hannah Cook said in an email that Public Works crews have prepared for the winter weather, including applying brine to areas, such as:
- Left, inside lane of S Belt Line Road/Denton Tap Road from I-635 to the northern City limit (just north of SH-121), in both the north- and southbound directions
- Left, inside lane of S MacArthur Road from E Belt Line Road to SH-121, in both the north- and southbound directions
- Left, inside lane of E Sandy Lake Road, from the Elm Fork of the Trinity River to SH-121, in both the east- and westbound directions
- Overpasses and major intersections

A Jan. 9 performance of the Singing Cadets at the Coppell Arts Center has been canceled because of the anticipated inclement weather. Center staff are expected to reach out about refunds to ticket holders.
In anticipation of the winter weather, residents of both cities are encouraged to leave cabinet doors open and drip faucets to prevent pipes from freezing and make other preparations and obtain necessary medications or food and water supplies.
