Some city services will close during Christmas and the trash collection schedule will shift by one day for Lewisville and Coppell residents.

What you need to know

Lewisville’s City Hall will close Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 for Christmas, according to the city of Lewisville’s website. The following buildings and services will also be closed during those dates:

• Lewisville Public Library
• Thrive Recreation Center
• Frederick P. Herring Parks and Recreation Center
• Lewisville Grand Theater
• Lewisville Public Library
• Lewisville Visitor Information Center

Garbage and recycling collection will shift by one day. Garbage is collected by Republic Services throughout the week. Residents can check what day their garbage is collected through the city website.

For Community Waste Disposal customers living in the Castle Hills area, trash pickup will also be shifted by one day. Residents can check the holiday schedule on CWD’s website.

Coppell’s City Hall will close Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 for Christmas, according to a news release from the city. The following buildings and services will also close during those dates:

• Coppell Municipal Court
• Coppell Senior and Community Center
• Biodiversity Education Center
• Cozby Library and Community Commons
• Coppell Arts Center

Regular business hours are expected to resume Dec. 26. Garbage and recycling pickup will shift by one day. Recycling and yard trimmings will be collected Dec. 26 and trash will be collected Dec. 27. Coppell residents can check the garbage collection schedule through the city website.
