The city of Coppell is looking for ways to better communicate with area residents.

On Oct. 14, officials launched a new survey to gather feedback on the type of information residents would like to receive from the city and the medium in which they would like that communication.

“Our goal is to get to know our community members and their preferences so that we can better provide them with all of the information that they need and want,” said Coppell Chief Communications Strategist Hannah Cook in a news release.

The gist

The city has contracted the help of market research firm OnPointe Insights to conduct the survey, which can be accessed here and via QR codes placed around city facilities.

On the survey, participants are asked to rank the types of information from the city they are interested in, including things like emergency preparedness, volunteer opportunities and construction updates. In addition, they are asked to rank what medium they would like to be informed through, including social media, street banners and emailed newsletters.

Looking ahead

The survey is open through Nov. 9. Once data is collected, it will be used to update the cities communications and marketing strategies to better reach residents, according to the news release.

“We’re encouraging residents to take our short survey to help us get to know them better so we can adjust how we communicate with them,” Cook said.
