Coppell and Lewisville residents will have plenty to attend this spring, from art shows to cultural festivals and building with Lego. This list is not comprehensive. Events are subject to change.

LISD middle school art show

Art from Lewisville ISD middle school students will be featured at the Lewisville Grand Theater in this annual show. Art is selected by a juror and prizes are awarded through a partnership with the Visual Art League. An opening reception will be held March 1 from 6:30-8 p.m.LISD elementary art show

Coppell kindergarten through first graders can take a course to learn about basic motor vehicle and pedestrian safety skills, such as understanding when and where it is safe to cross a street. In addition, safety topics regarding motor vehicles, like responsible seat belt and booster seat use, will be discussed. After the classroom presentation, children will be given time to drive Jeeps and practice their learned skills around Safety Town.Teen Spring Break: LEGO Day


Lego fans can head to the Cozby Library and Community Commons during spring break for a Lego building. The program is designed for children in sixth through 12th grade.Butterfly Walk

Attendees can walk with the butterflies through the forests and fields of Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area’s Blackjack Trail. The area is home to approximately 70 species of butterflies and many other colorful and remarkable insects. This special nature walk will last about two hours.

Perennial Plant Sale and Tour

Coppell Community Garden, a City of Coppell supported nonprofit that donates organically grown produce to a local food panty at Metrocrest Social Services, is having a perennial plant sale to help raise money to support its operation.Kaleidoscope

The square will be transformed into a colorful celebration for all ages to enjoy, highlighting the diversity and unique aspects of the Coppell community through a display of art, culture, music and more. Attendees can shop the vendor marketplace inside the Old Town pavilion, browse the entertainment on the lawn and enjoy performances showcasing different cultures in The Grove outside of the Coppell Arts Center. A variety of cuisine featuring tastes from around the world will be available for purchase from an array of food trucks.Saturday Make & Take Crafts


The Coppell Arts Center is hosting a crafting session where attendees can create and take home arts and crafts. Kids will receive a do-it-yourself craft kit that they can assemble and customize at art stations inside the center. A parent must accompany all children at all times and the event is for children ages three to 12.Movie Screening

Film enthusiasts can catch a screening of "Mission Impossible," the first installment of the series from 1996 starring Tom Cruise. The event is for adults only and light refreshments will be served.Texas Tunes: Sue Foley

Blues artist Sue Foley will be performing along with her band at the Lewisville Grand Theater. This concert is being supported, in part, by a grant from Texas Commission on the Arts.
