Election races are set in Coppell and Lewisville after the filing deadline passed Feb. 16.

Voters will head to the polls to cast ballots for city and school board positions May 4.

What you need to know

Coppell City Council has one contested race on the ballot for the May election: the race for Place 5, which was vacated when Mayor Pro Tem John Jun declared candidacy for State House District 110. Freddie Guerra will face Ramesh Premkumar to finish out the remainder of Jun’s term that expires in 2026.

Coppell ISD has one competitive race, which will see incumbent Nichole Bentley face off against challenger Eneida Padro.


Lewisville residents will cast ballots for the mayor and one Lewisville City Council position during the May elections.

Lewisville ISD has one competitive race that pit current Place 2 trustee Allison Lassahn against Place 6 trustee Michelle Alkhatib. The district is transitioning to electing five trustees from single-member districts and two at-large places after approving the change last year.
