Citizens interested in running for a spot on Lewisville ISD or Coppell ISD’s boards of trustees must file for candidacy by Feb. 17.

Places 6 and 7 will be on the ballot for LISD. Both seats are three-year terms. Place 6 is held by Kristi Hassett, and Place 7 is held by Tracy Scott Miller, who serves as board president. While candidates run for specific places, they represent the district at large instead of specific geographical areas.

Places 4, 5 and 7 are up for re-election in CISD. Those seats are held by Neena Biswas, David Caviness and Jobby Mathew, respectively. Board members serve three-year terms and are elected at large for specific places on the board.

Place 7 is a one-year unexpired term. Mathew was sworn in to serve as the Place 7 representative during a Nov. 14 special meeting. Mathew will hold the position until this year’s election. Place 7 will then be up for election for its full three-year term in 2024.

Early voting will begin April 24. Election day is May 6.
