Dallas Area Rapid Transit and Trinity Railway Express announced service changes for Christmas and New Year’s holidays, according to a Dec. 18 news release.

What you need to know

DART buses and light rail trains will operate on a weekend schedule Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1. During the same dates, all GoLink zones except for the IPTMA zone will operate from 5 a.m. to midnight.

The IPTMA zone will not operate Dec. 24-25 or Dec. 31-Jan. 1, according to the news release.

The Trinity Railway Express, ​​which connects Dallas to Fort Worth, will not operate Dec. 24-25 or Jan. 1. The TRE will operate one westbound train Dec. 31 after a Dallas Stars game. The train is scheduled to depart from Victory Station 20 minutes after the game ends.


Paratransit Services will operate on a Sunday schedule Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Paratransit call center will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1. Customers hoping to schedule a trip by phone for any of those days will need to do so in advance.

DART is offering free transportation the night of New Year’s Eve on buses, light rail trains and the TRE between EBJ Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport Station from 6 p.m. until the end of service.
