Dallas Area Rapid Transit has launched a new program to improve cleanliness on its light-rail vehicles.
DART partnered with United Community of Faith to remove trash and debris on all of its light-rail lines, according to a news release from DART. The new Clean Team initiative will operate from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. on weekdays to supplement DART’s current cleaning protocols.
DART light rails currently receive complete cleaning from 7 p.m.-3 a.m. while vehicles are at the rail yards. The Red and Blue Line trains are also currently cleaned every 60 minutes, while the Orange and Green Line trains are cleaned every 90 minutes, the release states.
