Dallas Area Rapid Transit has announced a new schedule for the upcoming Labor Day holiday on Sept. 5.

DART buses and the light rail will be operating on a weekend schedule, while the Route 402 Northpark shuttle and Route 883 University of Texas at Dallas shuttle bus, the Comet Cruiser, will operate on a Sunday schedule. The DART GoLink will only operate in zones that offer service on Sunday. The Trinity Railway Express will not be in operation.

The DART paratransit will run a Saturday schedule. However, the Paratransit Scheduling Center will be closed. The paratransit service is for people with disabilities who are unable to use DART's fixed-route buses or trains, according to DART's website. Residents must call Sept. 1 to schedule paratransit trips by Sept. 5 and must call by Sept. 2 to book rides for Sept. 6. Residents may still schedule or cancel trips any time at www.dart.org/paratransit.

The Dart Customer Information Center will open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on the holiday for trip planning assistance while the administrative office and other services, such as DARTmart, Lost and Found, and the Customer Care Center, will be closed.

More information can be found on DART's website.
