All lanes along westbound I-635 at Royal Lane and Miller Road will be closed from 10 p.m. May 13 through 8 a.m. May 14, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Drivers will be detoured to take Exit 15 to Royal Lane, travel through the intersection and use the entrance ramp at Royal Lane to access westbound I-635, a TxDOT news release stated.

All lanes along eastbound I-635 at Royal Lane and Miller Road will be reduced to one lane at this time, according to the release.

The closures will repeat at 10 p.m. on May 14 through 8 a.m. on May 15.

The closures are related to the $1.74 billion 635 East Project, according to the TxDOT website. TxDOT is working to improve mobility, operations and safety along I-635 in Dallas County.

The 11-mile project spans from just east of US 75 in north Dallas to I-30 in Mesquite. Construction began in spring 2020 and will last through late 2024, according to TxDOT.
