What you need to know
The Department of Sanitation Services will not be collecting garbage or recycling Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, according to a city news release. Collections during those weeks will be delayed by one day. For example, Monday routes will have their pickup day Tuesday.
In addition, the McCommas Bluff Landfill and city transfer stations will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Bulky trash and bulk collections will take place on their normal schedule.
