Holiday at the Arboretum returns to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden with a garden transformed for the Christmas season. The garden will feature the Christmas Village, Victorian-style gazebos representing the 12 Days of Christmas and a Dazzling Musical Tree, according to the Arboretum's website.

Guests can also visit the historic DeGolyer House, elaborately decorated with a new collection of nearly 600 nutcrackers among other classic Christmas themes. The Christmas Village will be adorned with lights, music and holiday fun. Each night, The Christmas Village comes to life with shop owners passing out samples, live entertainment and thousands of lights showing off the German-built Christmas Pyramid, which includes animation on every level.

The Dazzling Musical Tree, a 50-foot-tall tree animated with over 42,000 lights, returns for its third year bringing music and colors of the holiday season. The Arboretum is hosting an opening ceremony Nov. 8 to kick things off, according to the Arboretum's website.

The whole garden, including the tree and Christmas Village, will be lit up with the flip of a giant switch. The garden will be open daily except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and New Year's Day, and it closes early Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.
