Movie Wednesdays: 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'

The Forest Green Branch Library is hosting a screening of "The Super Mario Bros. Movie." In the film, Mario, voiced by Chris Pratt, faces off against Bowser, who has Mario’s brother Luigi hostage.The Rat Pack Now

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens will host the Rat Pack Now, a tribute to the Rat Pack. In the show, which has been running for 17 years, according to the band’s website, Art Poco portrays Dean Martin; Ben Bagby portrays Sammy Davis, Jr.; and Bob Hoose portrays Frank Sinatra.Tribute to the Grateful Dead: Twenty Hounds

Dallas-based Grateful Dead tribute band Twenty Hounds will perform at the Granada Theater. Twenty Hounds primarily plays Grateful Dead tunes, but they also perform a handful of classic rock songs.Turtle Creek Chorale 'Sing for Our Life'


The Turtle Creek Chorale will join the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for a concert featuring a variety of styles and genres. The performance will include new and contemporary works, such as The Goo-Goo Dolls and Sara Bareilles.Family Game Night

Whitney Single

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is hosting a Whitney Houston tribute. The performer, known on stage as Whitney, will sing some of the artist's most iconic songs, including “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “Greatest Love of All,” “I Will Always Love You” and more. The concert will also feature several food trucks.

The Texas State Fair will feature several family-friendly activities and exhibits, such as Dinosaurs at the Lagoon, which features 10 life-size dinosaurs found in Texas; contortionist and archer Sarah Twister; The Texas State Fair Rodeo; a stunt dog show; and more.

Oktoberfest Dallas
