Dallas ISD students and their families can now receive school-based health services, including mental health care, from three Lake Highlands clinics.

During their April 20 board meeting, Dallas ISD officials approved a partnership with Healing Hand Ministries to provide health services and mental health care and support at its youth and family centers. Healing Hand Ministries is a “patient-focused” community health center that provides a range of health services, according to its website.

Healing Hand Ministries operates through partnerships and community relationships to provide care to the communities it serves. The center began as a volunteer organization to assist Richardson ISD with its students and families who needed health services, according to meeting documents. Healing Hand Ministries has partnered with Richardson ISD since 2006. The partnership with Dallas ISD is set to last for three years.

In addition to the three Lake Highlands clinics, Healing Hand Ministries has a clinic in Oak Cliff. Clinic addresses are as follows:
  • Greenville Health Center, 8515 Greenville Ave., Ste. N108;
  • Vickery Health Center, 5750 Pineland Drive;
  • Woodhill Pediatrics Association, 8335 Walnut Hill Lane; and
  • Oak Cliff Clinic at Trinity Basin Preparatory Jefferson Campus, 919 E. Jefferson Blvd.
