Locally owned coffee shop Black Forest Coffee permanently closed May 28 after 24 years in business.

The cafe was located at 5801 E. Northwest Hwy., inside the Half Price Books flagship store. It served drinks made with Oak Cliff Coffee, a local coffee roaster.

Henk’s European Deli and Black Forest Bakery, which has the same owners as Black Forest Coffee, is open across the street from the cafe’s former space at 5811 Blackwell St. 214-361-2483. www.blackforestcoffeehaus.com
