Don’t feel like cooking this weekend? Here are four newly opened restaurants offering a variety of foods around the Lake Highlands and Lakewood area. This list is not comprehensive.

1. Fito’s Tacos de Trompo

Fito’s Tacos de Trompo, a Mexican restaurant chain, opened its fifth Dallas location in Lake Highlands on March 17. The new restaurant is located at 6760 Abrams Road, Ste. 201, inside the space that used to house a Fuzzy’s Taco Shop restaurant, which closed in November. Fito’s Tacos de Trompo is known for its authentic Mexican food made with fresh ingredients and family recipes, according to the company website. www.fitostacosdetrompo.com

2. The Koi Way

The Koi Way opened its second North Texas location in Lake Highlands at the Lakeridge Village Shopping Center. The Asian food eatery, located at 9660 Audelia Road, Ste. 117, opened at the beginning of March. While specializing in Indonesian foods, The Koi Way also serves up a variety of dishes from across Asia, including menu items such as sesame chicken, lumpia, satay and sushi rolls. 3. Fortune House Shanghai Kitchen

Chinese restaurant Fortune House Shanghai Kitchen opened its second location in Lower Greenville. The new location held a soft opening in late January and is located at 2010 Greenville Ave., Ste. B, Dallas. The restaurant is known for its variety of traditional Chinese soup dumplings. It also serves several rice, noodle and seafood dishes. 469-942-8882. https://fortunehousecuisine.com

4. Truck Yard

After temporarily closing its doors in November, Truck Yard reopened at 5624 Sears St. in Lower Greenville on March 13. The business, known for its retro outdoor space and trailer bars, spent about $2 million in renovations, according to a press release. The renovations mainly focused on making the space as weather friendly as possible for year-round operations and creating more efficient customer touch points. It also added more covered patios, a larger bar and kitchen, and revamped bathrooms. As part of the renovations, guests can enjoy more truck bed seating, new furniture and a covered space for private events. Truck Yard also added new cocktails to its menu.
