Updated April 19, 5:15 p.m.: As of 4 p.m. April 19, the city of Dallas network has been restored, according to a city press release.

Original post: After experiencing power outages at City Hall, Dallas City Council canceled its April 19 briefing meeting.

An AT&T power outage in downtown Dallas affected a number of services across all city departments Wednesday morning. The outage prevented all calls to the city’s 311 helpline from being received and halted all city services requiring internet use. As of Wednesday afternoon, 911 calls were not being impacted, officials said.

Before officially canceling the council meeting, the city of Dallas tweeted the meeting would be delayed from its scheduled start time of 9 a.m. until at least 10 a.m.

It is unclear when the internet outage will be resolved, officials said.

“The city’s IT Department and its managed network provider are aware of the issue and working diligently to resolve [it] as quickly as possible,” city officials wrote in a press release.
