Residents of the Lake Highlands community will have the opportunity to meet with city of Dallas officials to discuss issues on homelessness in their area.
Christine Crossley, director of the city’s Office of Homeless Solutions, and District 10 Council Member Adam McGough will host an upcoming discussion on homelessness. The community meeting will be held from 7-8 p.m. on June 21 at the Lake Highlands North Recreation Center at 9940 White Rock Trail.
The purpose of the meeting is to collect input from community members for the department’s budget request for fiscal year 2022-2023, according to Council Liaison Maddy Madrazo.
A May 6 memo from Deputy City Manager Kim Tolbert stated that sessions such as these will help ensure the budget request is in alignment with the needs of the community.
